Our boots are vintage-inspired; created from genuine vintage patterns from the 1930s thru 1960s. This period is called, "The Glory Years of Bootmaking" and you will see why when you see our boots for the first time. We started our business shortly after moving to Austin in 2006. We could not find the cool vintage boots we wanted in our sizes and we wondered why nobody was making a vintage-inspired boot at popular prices. We knew we could fill this niche with the best quality western boots in authentic designs.Authenticity is what we are talking about, here. Jerome Ryan is the visionary behind Heritage Boot and is responsible for the conception and design of the boots.
Jerome was one of the individuals directly responsible for introducing the category of western wear and boots to London in the late 1970's, where he operated retail and wholesale businesses. Jerome's appreciation of western boots was realized while traveling the western states and Texas in the 1980's, collecting vintage clothing and boots for export to Europe. Prior to moving to Austin and opening Heritage Boot, Jerome and his wife, Patti, lived in Mill Valley (just north of the Golden Gate Bridge) and worked in retail.
